In the early 2000s, the trend was in its infancy in India, with affluent Indians primarily exploring opportunities in popular destinations like the United Kingdom, Canada, the USA, and Australia. However, today, students from diverse economic backgrounds are considering a wider range of destinations, including South Korea, New Zealand, Germany, the UAE, Austria, and many others.
Another significant change is the enhanced facilities and streamlined processes. Foreign universities are now more welcoming to international students, simplifying visa procedures, entrance examinations, and acceptance rates. Additionally, a plethora of grants, scholarships, and loan options are available, making it increasingly feasible for students to finance their education abroad.
